5 things I've learnt in 27 years

Didn't have many learning or realization in the past years.

1. Time will past. The things you have now will be gone. You can't have them back.

2. The impact of your job is far more than I expected, such as family, relationship, finance, etc, actually, it's your whole life.

3. Life is way too different from school. There is no timetable that allocates your time for different activities; no syllabus that outlines your learning and progress expected and no timeline for a destination. And I suddenly realize it is so difficult to do all those by myself.

4. It is unwise to choose a job with development potential as a main consideration unless a proper promotion timeline is proposed. You are working for the present, not future. You should enjoy the moment but not save it for future. You should consider "Do/Will you like the work you are doing now?". You have the right no matter what stage you are in, fresh graduates or experienced professionals.

5. Forward thinking. Don't think that you still have time and you can leave the work for now. The truth is you will get busier later.
