This a tricky question.
First of all, you can't avoid doing repetative things in your daily lives like waking up at a certain time, go to office or school by certain transportation and the job nature is more or less the same.
People who find repetative life is a problem to them is because they can't find any excitement and feel bored in it. They don't know why they are working and what are they pursuing.
I am one of them. Time flies and I haven't done anything constructive and meaning. I kind of know how to stop this situation. Take an example of one of my friends whose goal is to become a poilt. She pursues her dream by taking courses on the theory of plane and improve her English. By bit and piece, she is walking closer to her dream.
So having a goal is the key to drive you work and define your life meaning.
The problem has always been don't know your dream, passion, goal, etc. So the solution I realized is set something to achieve/learn everyday so as to make everyday count.
